Oona Jung completed her Master’s degree in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of Vienna and is now continuing her academic journey as a PhD student at BOKU, where she specialises in biotechnology. In her current research project, Oona is focussing on the field of neuroregeneration.

Her research focuses on developing innovative therapeutic approaches for spinal cord injuries – a topic of great importance in traumatology, as these are currently still considered incurable. Oona uses a wide range of methods, including microscopy, western blot and ELISAs. Oona’s favourite cells include HEK293, which impress with their reliability and flexibility.
