Katrin Hirtenlehner currently pursues a bachelor’s degree in Health and Medical Sciences. She is interested in gaining an extensive understanding of the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases on our society through a holistic scientific approach. This can be done through an integration of the medical and social/health sciences and an investigation of how they interrelate.

Katrin particularly enjoys Evolutionary Psychology and how it can facilitate our understanding of the roots of peoples’ (health) behaviours. She is planning to pursue this interest further in the scope of a postgraduate degree in the field of Medical Anthropology.
