Isabel Casado Losada

MSc

Isabel conducts research in the fields of Tissue Engineering and Regenerational Medicine with an emphasis on skeletal tissues (muscle, bones, cartilage) and Biomaterials. Her used methods include cell culture (primary and cell lines such as ASCs, C2C12, MC3T3, RAW,..) and microscopy. In a nutshell, her work is based on a mixture of different disciplines: (bio-)mechanics, biology, and engineering principles/concepts applied into biomaterial development.

Isabel’s current research is about articular cartilage defect regeneration, scaffold decellularization, in vitro models, CartiScaff/AuriScaff and laser technologies.
