Miriam graduated in Chemistry and Technology of Materials at the Technical University of Vienna. Her diploma thesis focused on using mussle-inspired motifs to improve adhesion of polymers for fetoscopic surgery. Sticking to the topic of adhesion, in her research at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute, Miriam focuses on introducing adhesive motifs into local synthetic and biological haemostats to improve adhesion towards the damaged tissue.
