Join the LBG Meeting: Innovation in Health Sciences 2023
The LBG Meeting Innovation in Health Sciences encourages and supports young scientists by offering an opportunity to present their work. Moreover, it is a chance for early researchers to establish themselves within the scientific community. The thematic sessions will include key-note lectures by international experts and oral presentations of the best submitted abstracts.
Since its inception in 2013, the LBG Meeting has been a platform dedicated to offering young scientists a valuable opportunity to showcase their work. Scheduled from November 2nd to 3rd 2023, this year’s event promises a dynamic exchange of diverse minds, collectively exploring ideas within the health sciences. The scientific sessions will encompass a wide spectrum, including topics such as arthritis and rehabilitation research, cardiovascular research, haematology and cancer research, and regenerative medicine research, including artificial organs.
Beyond the core scientific sessions, the event fosters knowledge exchange through an array of experiences. A notable highlight is the Best Abstract Awards, a forum where emerging researchers can present their work (more details below).
This year’s scientific leadership includes Heinz Redl from the Ludwig Boltzmann Research Group Senescence and Healing of Wounds, Tanja Stamm from the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Arthritis and Rehabilitation, Peter Valent representing the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Hematology and Oncology, and Johann Wojta representing the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Cardiovascular Research.
The LBG Meeting welcomes early career researchers in health sciences, PhD and doctoral students, as well as postgraduates. The event extends an open invitation to everyone interested in participating.
Best Abstract Award
The core focus of the conference lies in translational research. Abstracts covering preclinical, clinical, or implementation research are welcome.
The four best abstracts will be selected by an international jury of experts and awarded €500 each. Please note that only abstracts submitted by scientists younger than 35 years old will be considered for the contest.
The award ceremony will take place on 3 November 2023, marking the conclusion of the conference.
