The Research Center in Cooperation with AUVA

The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology is the research center in cooperation with AUVA. Our collaboration with the General Accident Insurance Institution (AUVA) dates back to the founding of the institute and forms the foundation for the close integration of clinical practice and scientific research at this site.

AUVA is Austria’s statutory accident insurance institution and is responsible for prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and reintegration following occupational and leisure-time accidents. Together, we pursue a central goal: continuously improving the care of trauma patients – from initial treatment to sustainable recovery.

Through the close cooperation between research and clinical expertise, we develop innovative approaches in traumatology and regenerative medicine. Our shared ambition is to provide optimal care for patients after an accident and to support them swiftly on their path back to life.

In the Partner Board, representatives of AUVA and the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft jointly oversee and guide the strategic development of the institute.
