Two new job openings at Josef Ressel Centre for Materials Engineering in Soft Tissue Regeneration
The newly established Josef Ressel Centre for Materials Engineering in Soft Tissue Regeneration (JRC-MESTR) is offering two outstanding career opportunities in a dynamic research environment. We are looking for passionate scientists to join our teams at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology in Vienna and the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH Oberösterreich) in Linz.
The first position is for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in biotechnology, medicine, or tissue engineering. This full-time role focuses on soft tissue and muscle regeneration, in vitro and in vivo model development, and cell differentiation studies. The position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with industry leaders such as Innovacell GmbH and Particle Metrix. The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr. Paul Slezak (LBI Trauma).
The second opportunity is a PhD position (m/f/d) in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, based in Linz/Vienna. This role focuses on muscle tissue modeling, cell differentiation, imaging techniques, and bioengineering approaches. The PhD candidate will collaborate with Innovacell GmbH and conduct experiments at both sites. Supervision will be provided by Wolfgang Holnthoner (LBI Trauma) and Jaroslaw Jacak (FH Oberösterreich).
