The 2nd INTERREG - 7th TERMIS Winterschool 2019 will take place in Radstadt, Salzburg, Austria from January 13th-16th, 2019 under the headline "Musculoskeletal Tissue Regeneration: From Mechanobiology to in Vitro/in Vivo Models and Advanced Imaging". Registration is open until December 20th

This is a great opportunity for students to get first-hand insights in performing preclinical (in vitro and in vivo) models as well as in vivo imaging. Participants are also invited to present posters on the workshop’s topic. Networking will be encouraged with team activities in a beautiful environment and ski slopes just 100 m from the meeting venue.

LBG Meeting for Health Sciences – abstract deadline is fast approaching!

The LBG Meeting for Health Sciences, hosted by the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft, will take place on November 29th - 30th in Vienna. The event especially targets young researchers, offering a platform to present their work. International Microscopic Image Award for Naimeh Hashemi

The 1st prize in the field Biomaterials at the 2nd International Microscopic Image Contest and Exhibition (IMIC 2018) was awarded to Naimeh Hashemi from the LBI Trauma. The contest was held at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran.

Naimeh Hashemi, together with Asmita Banerjee from Susanne Wolbank’s group and Adelheid Weidinger from Andrey Kozlov’s group got this prize for their work on mitochondria in human amniotic epithelial cells and nanocluster uptake.

On the top of science - Interreg-TERMIS Winterschool 2018

If a great opportunity presents itself, why wait another year? The otherwise biannual TERMIS Winterschool returned in 2018 as a joint event with Interreg, putting mechanobiology in the spotlight. From January 14th to 17th an international group of scientists and students met in Radstadt, Austria, to discuss this innovative field. Focusing on in vitro and in vivo preclinical models the presenters shared experiences all the way from cell sources to specific applications. The last day offered insights in imaging methods.

Best Abstract Award for Christina Schuh and Karl Schneider at LBG Meeting for Health Sciences 2016

Christina Schuh and Karl Schneider each won one of four Best Abstracts Awards from the Ludwig Boltzmann Society. The award ceremony took place on 29 November 2016 and was part of the LBG Meeting for Health Sciences 2016. The meeting gives young scientists the possibility to present their research.
