LIVES 2017, the 30th conference of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), took place at the Austria Center Vienna – a home match for the LBI Trauma, which was represented by numerous contributions. Marcin Osuchowski, co-organizer of the recent Wiggers-Bernard conference, presented the meeting’s most important findings. Giacomo Iapichino and Johannes Zipperle (picture) from the group of Herbert Schöchl presented their newest results on the field of trauma-induced coagulation disorders.
The EACTS-PACT Symposium will take place on November 30th and December 1st, 2017 at the Marriot Courtyard Prater/Messe in Vienna. The joint symposium is organized by the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) together with the Platform for Advanced Cellular Therapies (PACT) under the headline “Regenerative Medicine: Taking the Science to the Patient”, with a special focus on regulatory issues in respect of Biologicals and ATMPs.
The European Network of Bioadhesion Expertise (ENBA) had its first Expertise Meeting on March 6th - 7th, 2017 at the Natural History Museum Vienna, organized by Janek von Byern from the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental and Clinical Traumatology and Norbert Cyran from the Core Facility Cell Imaging and Ultrastructure, University of Vienna. ENBA is part of the COST network (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), uniting experts in the fields of biology, physics, chemistry and engineering the study biological adhesion.
Present state of Peripheral Nerve Surgery and New Ideas to Improve the Results
Prof. Hanno Millesi invites to attend this meeting in 2017. THe Symposiom will be held at the General Hospital Lecture Halls, Vienna, Austria. The idea of the meeting is as always to discuss any suggestion to improve our knowledge on peripheral nerves and peripheral nerve surgery.
